Christmas fruit bread

Grandmas fruit cake

Cookies

and

 The special dinner

It has all been there from the beginning

and 

I made the same thing as mom.

... times change ...

My kids will do it different 

as it should be...

still the same, but with a twist

some treats some meals some family gatherings

some prayers

I remember the cookies

and 

still add that to the fun.

year after year

Cookies bring Cheer !

But..

there will be less cookies made in the U.S. this year

Less cheer  More fear

More tears

Baking and celebration may be set aside

There will be crying inside

When children do not come home from

Kindergarten

WE ALL ASK WHY

WE ALL CRY

That child, not home, is all of our children.

Say an extra prayer

Eat an extra cookie

Hug an extra time

Huh a little longer and pray a little harder.
