Life's party

Poetry Jam
party

This summer there will be birthdays and graduations and anniversaries and new homes and many things to celebrate but somehow the Life Celebration for my Cousin John will be remembered...He was special and the way that the memorial was done ... as special as the man who's life was being remembered.

Life's Party Goes On and On

Turn
North South East West.
Face four compass points.
Joy comes to rest

Down...
Touch the earth
feel,
Know it's worth.

Up...
Reach for the sky
Breath,
Close your eye.

Hug
Memories to your heart
This is an important part

Connect
7 directions
to your life
of extended protection

Squeeze
Let the warmth pass
From
hand to hand
heart to heart
Around the circle of family and friends

A wonderful way
To say
You will always
Be a big part
in our hearts.....

Party on!

  1. A Celebration of someone's life is a very important event. It sounds as if the celebration of your cousin John's life was a warm one with lots of connections!

I wonder if you would consider getting rid of 'word verification.' Most people have. It makes it hard to respond when you have to figure out those words!

  3. An uplifting and inspiring poem! Thanks so much for sharing it with us over at Poetry Jam.

If you go into "settings" on your Blogger dashboard, then "posts and comments" you will have the option of turning the word verification off.

  7. I am leaving to be with my daughter and grand kids for three weeks. If I can not enter posts from my iPad then all will have to wait until the end of July
