REFLECTIONS
What do you see when
you're look up?
Depends...
When you open your mind
You may see the view up
or
maybe not at all
you may see something tall
that blocks your view
and
looks back down at you
Looking up you may see
down.
Your world is up side
around
Sometimes you look down to
see up
and
up is reflected down
This maybe something we
need to do
when
we look inside too
Reflecting on the past is
best done,
not
looking from one to one,
but
looking at a different
view,
maybe
what we all need to do.
Looking through my eyes to
see what you see?
This may be what needs to
be
Hearts are reflected
everywhere!
On my sleeve or in the
air.
Open hearts seem to be
floating there and here
Reflections from the past
fly near.
Think about looking into
see out
Think about looking out to
see into.
Telescopes into the air
Visions or reflections
there
Microscopes see small
but...
maybe not at all
Dealing with a heart do we
look at the large part?
What makes it work or
break?
Give and take...
Measure the Pressure
.....life is complete ...check...skip a beat!
Medicate...Contemplate...Wait!
Think...Recalculate
Take a different turn....A
new generation game....Not the same!
Something new...A new view
Reflections may help in
the choice..
Give hope a voice!

ReplyDeleteOn my sleeve or in the air.
Love this, rich in feelings and emotions, Captures the essence of life, is it a reality or a reflection.
nice...i like your stanza on relecting on the past and looking at it from different views...perspective is huge in how we look at things in our life...and in this world....
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful offering here. I especially like:

I like the irony of looking down to see up and up to see down. That's what reflections do! And they are indeed a different view! Thanks for posting the working link! Write on!
ReplyDeleteI still do not know why the two tries to post were different I think I did the same thing?? At least I looked and then posted to fix it.
DeleteWonderfully reflective words and photos. I especially like the poem with the lily pads. I assume you took that photo. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLike the many points of view, specially the different one is needed for new, fresh eyes ~
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you at PJ ~
A unique and clever take on the prompt. A most enjoyable read.
ReplyDeleteRae! I loved this!! Especially, all the twists and turns of phrases around the heart, the combination with your photos (that one of you looking up with camera was perfect). Very fun and inspiring :-)
ReplyDeleteI was taking that photo into "the Bean" in Chicago and the photo is so cool. The reflecting on the heart came from having my stepson in the hospital with heart surgery (he is 42!) and watching him follow in his Dads footsteps to conjestive heart failure. Yah!
