What's
In My Pocket
More precious then gold
But harder to hold
It lights up my life
Or fill it with strife
Much more then air
Holding it's rare
It hangs on a star
Will take me so far
It can fit in a frame
It can have a name
It is mine alone
but
affects all I've known
It is your turn to guess
this riddle game
Probably no two answers
will be the same
A comment will hold the
answer I am sure
a hint:
It is not a ring to what I
refer!
ha. i need to think on this one....reminds me of the game in the hobbit...my first inkling was a picture...of a child...
ReplyDeleteClever and fun! And I agree with Brian ... a picture of a loved child ...
ReplyDeleteWow a riddle. Great idea. I guess you could have love in your pocket, or beauty.

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket da da da da!
ReplyDeleteOnly one thing comes to mind - and i'm dead sure you wouldn't have written about that! So I'll have to think...
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't know... maybe memories?
ReplyDeleteI think it's a wish--wish upon a star? :-)
ReplyDeleteI was using a different word but all of these would fit the riddle for sure...I will let this go for the weekend and see what happens
ReplyDeleteI thought wish too. Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing your dreams?
ReplyDeleteMy girl friend said an idea...another close guess!
ReplyDeleteWhat I had in my pocket was A GOAL. The sane as a wish but with a more definite description or it is also like a dream !
ReplyDeleteVery interesting riddle poem... and glad that you said the answer at the end! I am such an awful guesser!
