Keep the young side out

Poetry Jam
age

Inside Out

We are Aged to perfection
but maybe for our protection

Our skin and body harden a bit
we sometimes prefer just to sit

The inside part we must reroute
to bring the youth and child part out

Smiles and  laughter will do the trick
to keep the young part out and make it stick

So laugh and smile and click your heals
I bet you 'll love the way that feels

Sing and Dance and Paint and Smile
youth will be out all the while

Frown and worry and stress
life will be a mess

You will wrinkle and age inside too
then what will your inner child do

Wonder why he can”t come out and play
so you must keep youth out both night and day

Keep age away and have all generations out to play

  1. i agree that we have to stay conscious of keep that youth and child alive in our lives....so that we dont harden like that...even if it is for protection...

  2. I LOVE these photos!!! Cool poem and great advice - except that clicking my heels would be dangerous! I doubt I could even get both feet off the floor at the same time, it's hard enough pulling on my socks, hee hee.

  3. Very nice. We really do have to keep the youth and child part of us alive inside. And yes, smiles and laughter help! I enjoyed your photos too.

  5. I don't think I could actually click my heels when I was 16 and trying now would probably be dangerous. LOL But you are right in this poem--we must be conscious of continuing to play and laugh.

  7. Inside I still feel the same so sometimes my own reflection in the mirror feels it is somebody else. I hope I can play and laugh, as well as enjoy it, for many years still.
