Blank Screen

Poetry Jam
Let Go

BLANK SCREEN

Etch a sketch- a kids toy
giving up your stored data
just shake it-and enjoy.

Delete back to zero- a blank white slate
this will help...now communicate.

Why mortgage your life to data and stuff
give up useless files ...to let go with a puff.

Stuck behind memory your pushing up hill.
It's the program .. Its the data ...Give it up to refill
Be here ...Be present...Be ready.. Let go
Find inspiration,
It's in you ...you know.

Just reset
re-empty the trash ... reprogram the drive
let go of the problem
now,
your alive.

  1. Oh, I do remember Etch-a-Sketch. In fact, for a while it quite fascinated me. But for some time it was inspiring....as all innovations are for a while until the next new thing.

  2. I had one of these screens and remember the fun I had, the idea that you could make mistakes since it was so easy to have a blank slate again.

  7. "Empty the trash". If we did that more often, we'd have more brain space and dancing room!
