Leaves Dance

Poetry Jam
October

Leaves Dance

A
Special time
when leaves turn.
They dance
with the movement
of the wind.
Red and yellow
with a memory of green.
Brown with a promise
of green.
As the weather takes on the chill of Autumn leaves know
they have a glow of the past and a hope for the future
somehow wrapped in the memory
of the pattern of nature.
There is no question
they just dance
float
and
fall
to
the
air
and
fly

free
and
 land on a cold ground
to
 the
delight
of
those
of
us
 who
 love

 October

and
 watch it up close

    1. This is a year of birth I guess as I have moved to a totally new place. So I can now probably hang my bike for the winter, walk in the leaves for exercise, continue emptying boxes and reorganizing life here, and now have time to" think and respond" as I type here.
